I am a small organisation with a small budget, could I afford Audit Manager ?

Yes of course, your investment could be as small as a single PDA … if using standard ‘already created’ templates … we can provide an all inclusive solution which includes PDA, access to the Audit Manager system, training, support and reports. This all comes at a competitively priced monthly rate, no capital finance required, which is based upon the number of PDA's needed. There is a system package to suit every situation.

Do I have to create the new audit templates for my own use ?

Not necessarily.  We, with the input of various clients, are developing templates for specific purposes. For example, in the regulatory field of private sector housing, we have already created an inspection / audit template relating specifically to HMO Licencing … moving on within private sector housing we are now developing further templates involving HHSRS, Immigration Inspections etc covering the full range of needs.

Likewise, a template relating to food safety inspections is currently being trialled by the Food Safety team at the London Borough of Bexley. These templates will subsequently become part of a ‘bank’ of templates which can be readily shared by all appropriate clients.

If you subsequently become a ‘full licence’ holder you will then be given the necessary training and support to be able to create your own templates from scratch, if you so wish.

Does Audit Manager work with my back-office system ?

Yes. This is a very important issue. None of us have the time or resource to waste with double entry of data.  Audit Manager technical people are currently working on the linkage with Northgate M3 for a major London Authority … and as the opportunity arises, other major back-office system providers will come on line.

Does this system work only with a PDA ?

No, Audit Manager works with Windows Mobile v6 and as such can be used with traditional PDA’s and many of the modern generation of smartphones.
Microsoft Website We currently tend to favour the HP iPAQ 214 Enterprise, it has a big screen, good battery life and seems to be very durable. HP IPAQ214

Does the system need to be set up on an internal server?

NO. There is no need for any specialist software or server arrangements to use with Audit Manager … just PC access to the internet via a standard browser is all that is needed.

Can I upload my data using a wireless connection?

Yes. Wi-fi is probably the most convenient means of uploading data. Other options include using a docking station synchronised to your PC, or dependent on hardware WAP/GPRS is an option.

What training and support do you offer ?

Training and support to all levels whether it be for a PDA user or a super-user who will be managing the system.

We recognises the difficulty in making change happen when implementing new technology and processes. Our consultants can work with you to define change strategy and change management programmes to aid smooth implementation.

“ Support Forums “ will be available via the Kairos website, 24/7 and telephone support is available Monday to Friday 9am -5.30pm, with the exception of UK bank holidays.

Is this a proven system ?

Certainly is.  Audit Manager was originally created in 2004. Had a complete rebuild in 2008 and is continuing to be successfully used on a daily basis within some of the largest UK businesses.  What is new, exciting and perhaps a tad revolutionary, is the movement of this 'already proven' technology into many various aspects of the public sector.
